Star Wars TIE Fighter Wall Display Bracket – fits vintage to modern
This listing is for custom made brackets for mounting and displaying your Star Wars TIE Fighters on your wall and will fit various models from vintage to modern. No ships or figures are included. These brackets are designed for vehicles produced for the 3.75″ figures. There are MANY types of TIE fighters! Please verify which version you have before ordering. I give a very thorough description of each below, so PLEASE read this whole description. If you are in doubt, please send me a picture of your ship, and I will let you know what bracket will fit it. If you order the wrong bracket, I gladly accept returns at your postage expense. I have brackets for many other Star Wars vehicles, please see my store for more options, or check this listing for vintage Star Wars vehicle brackets. This listing has the following options:Vintage TIE Fighter – this bracket will hold the vintage white TIE Fighter, the vintage blue Battle Damaged TIE Fighter, and the blue POTF TIE fighter. All 3 of these ships have a double door canopy and a battery compartment (rectangular area off the back of TIE, though this is non-functioning on the POTF version). The vintage TIE’s will be date stamped 1978, and the POTF TIE will be stamped 1995. Vintage Acrylic – this bracket fits the above mentioned TIEs and the vintage Darth Vader TIE Fighter. The vintage DV TIE will be date stamped 1978, has a double door canopy, and has stickers for its solar panels on its wings. POTF Darth Vader TIE – this bracket fits the 90’s Power of the Force Darth Vader TIE Fighter (often called the TIE Advanced or Advanced TIE). This TIE is date stamped 1997, has a single door for its canopy, and has plastic panels for its solar panels on its wings. It also has spring loaded missiles, and guns that protrude from the front. This bracket consists of a 3d printed support that is mounted on an acrylic bracket. See the photos for instructions on how to install. Universal Acrylic – this bracket will fit almost every TIE Fighter with the following exceptions/limitations: No Darth Vader TIES, no TIEs with wingspans larger than 12.5″ front to back (if centered). Otherwise, if the TIE has a round body, and the weight is balanced front to back, this bracket should hold it. If you have an Interceptor: use the Universal Acrylic bracket. If you have a more modern Interceptor, they added counterweights to the back of the wings that should keep them balanced. If you have a vintage Interceptor (date stamped 1978) you MUST add counter weights in the battery compartment. Approximately 2 oz of weight (coincidentally the weight of 2 AA batteries) will will work. 22 pennies is perfect. It’s a little bit of a tight squeeze, but they will fit! Or hit the junk drawer for some old nuts/bolts/nails – load them in there! It doesn’t matter what – you just need to add enough weight to counter balance the wings. If you have a more modern Interceptor that you find is still forward heavy, tape a few quarters or washers to the back of the TIE. For mounting brackets that use an acrylic bracket: I purchase these and modify them to work as you see in the pics. I do my best to clean them and keep them scratch free – however, what you receive may need cleaning with a damp rag to remove dust and/or oils from processing/handling. And there may be minor marks or scratches, but it will still display nicely. All wall mounting brackets include an easy to use self-tapping drywall anchor and screw. Simply screw the anchor into the wall, and screw your bracket to the anchor. I recommend leaving the screw just snug enough that you can still turn the bracket to adjust for level if needed. I combine shipping on multiple purchases. Shipping is $5, and $1 for each additional TIE bracket. If you order multiple brackets from this listing, add them to your cart before paying, and eBay will automatically combine. If you order across different listings, add them to your cart, and request an invoice before paying. If you pay for shipping from multiple listings instead of requesting an invoice, I will gladly refund the difference to my actual postage costs. Visit my eBay store for other hard to find vintage Star Wars parts, repair kits, and vehicle wall mounting hangers! About Galactic Collector: I am a collector of vintage Star Wars action figures, vehicles, and playsets. I regularly restore vintage pieces. I never part out complete items. I often buy broken/damaged/parts lots for salvage, and will resell leftover parts from those to hopefully benefit other restorers out there.
